Students at Brooklyn are always taught about the environment and sustainability. We're about to step it up a notch.
We have introduced a compost bin for the playground now. Our school garden is loving it and so is our worm farm.
We have also brought out the recycling bin to recycle hard plastics and clean paper and cardboard.
Now we will be collecting soft plastic for recycling. This includes all chip packets, bags, clingwrap etc. If it can be scrunched into a ball it can be recycled. We will collect these and deposit them at Redcycle bins in supermarket stores. More information can be found at Redcycle
We hope to reduce our rubbish to zero!
